This question is not about questioning one's credibility or one's love for their loved ones. But it's actually a clear sign of love which LOUDLY says I care! I care for you and also I care for myself. Which is no wrong or to be interpreted in a way condemning fidelity. It's only about safety. So when it is the situation that if I've to ask the person to undergo this test, I would frankly ask him to do so and the same applies to me.
The question is a no brainer. There is no reason why one shouldn't or wouldn't get the test done. And also, why wait till marriage? One should get the test done as and when they find themselves sexually active.
