In our day to day life, we face situations where we need to take concrete decisions. Sometimes these decisions are obvious and sometimes they are difficult to take.
Of all such difficult decisions I came across one where one has to stand up against ones's friend. Whenever we befriend someone or claim someone to be our friend that automatically means that we will always stand by our friend.
But does it hold true always?
I doubt, and am sure it takes lot of courage and strength to stand up against our friend with whom we have a special bond and doesn't want it to get ruined. We wont say we fear our friend but fear of losing the friend.
But can we still let our friend do whatever he/she wants even if jolts our conscience?
In 80% of the cases, people don't speak up against their friend. This is a sad truth, We just listen to our friend's grievances and don't actually get involved in it or provide suggestions which may help to improve our friend or the mental understanding. We generally don't consider, the idea of Making our friend realise that how not so correct he/she is and what should be done to improve.
Yesterday, someone I have known took the courage to stand up and confront his own friend for someone else. Sounds brave to me!
isnt it?
By not guiding our friend we only secure our friendship for moments or for days or months but when we support what is right rather than our friend , we actually support our friend.
Great
