It was 2 am in the night and Amayra was practicing her choreography in her college amphitheatre for the competition to be held in Elite, Kanpur. A perfectionist at heart, Amayra was cleaning each and every moves of hers so that she can be as graceful as possible on the stage.
Though She was excited but at the same time she was nervous. This was the first time she was representing her college at Elite, Kanpur and there was strong legacy of her college winning it every year. #Pressure #Life
She took some time off from her routine and sat down to relax.
Suddenly she heard a noise from backstage. Amayra became alert.
"Who is there? "
Amayra paused for a reply but nobody replied. She started listening to her track and heard the rattling of the empty cans again.
"Who the hell is there?"
"Hi, Hello, Sorry, Rajeev"
"Oh god! you scared me. What are you doing over there"
"Nothing"
"Nothing?"
"I was just passing by and I heard some music from here so I came by to see what was happening."
Amayra in her thoughts, "Yeah sure!"
Rajeev had a soft corner for Amarya since the first day of college and somewhere Amarya knew about it as well but she never responded to Rajeev's feelings.
Rajeev was an average looking guy but a man with intellect. On the contrary Amarya was the diva of the college. A very typical story!
But what makes these typical stories extraordinary are the people in it, the power of persuasion.
Rajeev was a very decent guy and had always approached Amayra as a good friend: simple and supportive!
Amarya had not acknowledged his liking but neither had she ignored it.
"You look tense"
"No"
"Yes, I think you do"
"Not exactly"
"Is it because of the competition?"
"Yeah a little"
"Feeling pressurized?"
"Damn! I am so tensed, you have no idea!"
Rajeev smiled at Amarya's innocence. This had always been there sweet little game where Rajeev understands Amarya even before she could acknowledge.
"Amarya you know what.People usually tell this to you that you were good that day or this day,on the day you dance in front of them, though you practice everyday here in this theatre. I just want to tell you this not just today. Not just someday. I want to tell you this everyday!!".
Amayra for once forgot about everything and looked up into Rajeev's eyes. It was not the compliment but the honesty in his eyes that made her DAY.
